Before we move a single piece of furniture, we protect the home. That means floor runners across hardwood, moving pads strapped to door frames and walls, and stair runners laid tight from top to bottom. It's one of the first things we do on every home move - no exceptions.
A lot of movers skip this step. They show up, start hauling furniture, and hope nothing gets dinged. We don't operate that way. Hardwood floors scratch easily. Door frames take a beating. Stair banisters and railings are especially vulnerable when you're moving large items up and down. We wrap and cover all of it before anything gets moved.
The protection setup takes extra time up front. We think it's worth it. You've invested a lot in your home - whether it's a brand new build or a place you've lived in for years. The last thing you want is a gouge in your floor or a scuffed up door frame as a souvenir from moving day.
This is just part of how we work. It's the standard, not the exception. Whether it's a home move or an apartment move, we treat every space with the same level of care. The goal is always to leave the home in the same condition we found it - or better.
